Pope John Paul II Regional Catholic
Elementary School has been named a
2021 Archdiocesan School of Distinction
"I would like to thank the administration for the incredible job that was done this past Spring in reacting to this crisis. It was well organized and the teachers did an incredible job."
"Thanks for working so hard to make things safe for the students as they return to school. "
" I was extremely impressed with the school's ability to adapt last year to virtual learning. You did not skip a beat like all of the other schools and the teachers were prepared and flexible. Thank you for making that transition successful. "
"Thank you for all of the time, love and energy that you are putting into everything all of the time."
Our health and safety protocols have been successful in keeping our school community healthy. In order to continue this success, we are having students wash and sanitize their hands frequently, disenfecting high-touch surfaces, and checking student temperatures midday.
We are asking you to continue to help us by staying committed to the following guidelines for ill students:
1. Children with cold/COVID symptoms should remain at home until their symptoms have improved. They will need a negative COVID test in order to return. At-home tests are acceptable as long as they meet the following criteria:
2. If a doctor provides an alternative diagnosis to COVID when the student has cold/COVID symptoms, please provide us with a note that includes the alternate diagnosis.
3. Students with a fever need to be at least 24 hours fever free to return to school (without the use of medication) and will also need a negative COVID test to return.
4. Students with vomiting or diarrhea must be at least 24 hours without an occurrence in order to return to school.
5. If your child has seasonal allergies and does not yet have a doctor’s note on file, please provide the nurse with one so that we are aware.
We are still tracking our case numbers and want to make sure that we keep COVID out of our school as much as possible. Your continued support and cooperation will help us to do this.
