Students who need extended care before OR after school hours can participate in our CARES program (Children Are Receiving Extra Services) which runs from 6:30am-8:15am(Before School Care) and 2:45pm-5:45pm(After School Care) most days that school is in session.  The CARES program is open to all children in K- through 5^th grade (starting 2024-25) who attend our school.  The program is supervised by members of the faculty and staff of Pope John Paul II Regional Catholic Elementary School. The after school session provides time for homework, play in the gym and/or outside on the playground, board games, coloring, and more.  PLEASE SEND A SNACK WITH YOUR STUDENT EACH DAY. 
Pickup is in the back of school, from the MPR door marked "F".  When parking, please be considerate of LSA parents picking up babies and toddlers.

CARES Registration Form: Please complete the CARES registration form here and the applicable calendar below. Registration form is necessary only once every school year.  Please scroll down to find the monthly calendar.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The CARES program is open on some half-days but closed on a half-day prior to a holiday. Please check the school calendar for availability. The CARES program is closed on all snow days, school holidays, and on days when the school closes early for emergencies and inclement weather.  

If school is delayed for emergency or inclement weather, there is no morning CARES.
If the school closes due to an emergency or inclement weather, the CARES program will not be available for the safety of the staff. 

Parents/guardians must make arrangements with a relative, neighbor or friend as backup plan in the event the parent/guardian wil not be able to pick up their student at the appointed time. Please be sure to list any and all individuals who may pick up your student in the event of an emergency closing on the registration form.
