The Religion curriculum is designed to make young children aware of God’s love through the many good and beautiful people, events, and things He has placed in their lives. Each lesson leads students to appreciate their uniqueness and sense God’s presence in all the wonderful things around them.  Students also work to master traditional Catholic prayers as they learn to pray in community.

    English Language Arts
    • English Language Arts

In Kindergarten, students will learn the basic features of letters and words. In the primary grades, the reading curriculum emphasizes a strong foundation of phonemic awareness and fluency.  These important skills will enable your child to learn new words and to read and understand books and stories on their level. Students are challenged to retell stories and identify story elements.  They begin exploring genre and how illustrations contributes to their understanding of the story. Students also learn the basic features of informational resources.  Your child will learn to write and share information in a variety of ways, including drawing, writing letters and words, listening to others, and speaking aloud.

    Mathematics
    • Mathematics

In Kindergarten, your child will focus learning numbers and what numbers represent by counting and comparing the quantities of two groups of objects.  Students will add and subtract within 10 and will explore algebraic concepts by finding missing quantities. Kindergartners will begin solving problems using objects or drawing pictures.

    Social Studies
    • Social Studies

Each unit helps students study themselves in the context of their immediate surroundings. While studying how they live and the rules under which they live, students learn that other people may have different identities, cultures, and experiences in the world compared to their own.  Students also learn that a parish is a special kind of community which can offer them support and love.

    Science
    • Science

Students explore the world around them and investigate science topics through a variety of hand-on experiences.  Students will discover more about Pushes and pulls, ecosystems, plants, animals, weather and climate, as well as the engineering design process.
