PJPII has a strong tradition of helping students expand their horizons.  Student exposure to the fine arts begins with specials classes of Art and Music. These are then enhanced with opportunities for students in the upper grades to participate in choir, both for school mass and a traveling choir, art club, theater, and band.  Over the past several years, PJPII students have earned numerous Fine Arts scholarships to Bishop Shanahan High School.  These were for drama, vocals, instrumental, and art.
Student Choir: performs at school masses, prayer services, and occasionally travels to perform at our local partner parishes for Sunday mass. Each year, several students are chosen to represent PJPII at the Archdiocesan Choral Festival.

Student Band:  coordinated by Northeastern Music Program, beginning in 3rd grade (violin only for 3rd graders), students are able to participate in band and take group instrument lessons.  Concerts for the school community and families are held twice a year, December and May.

Theater: Students in grades 5-8 have the opportunity to participate in our annual Spring musical show.  On-stage, behind the scenes, or with preparing the props/backgrounds, there is something for everyone!

Art: beyond specials Art class, students in grades 5-8 can participate in Art club. Art club meets frequently to help with special projects requested by Administrators, backgrounds needed for the musical, and specialty items for the Annual Fine Arts Show held in May, and much more.  Students also have the opportunity to attend Art camp each summer directed by our art teacher!
